WILMINGTON WOMAN 2ND CHANCE WINNER IN ELVIS* INSTANT GAME

DOVER, DE - February 14, Kim Mulqueen of Wilmington, Del. claimed the trip to Graceland* that she won in the second-chance drawing for the Delaware Lottery's ELVIS* Instant Game. Mulqueen, 48, heard the news on her answering machine after being notified by Lottery officials January 24. She claimed her prize January 30, 2002.

"I immediately called the Lottery back," she said. "I was so excited, I guess I screamed into their voice mail system. When I realized that, I had to call back to apologize - again, to the voice mail system."

A self-proclaimed "huge Elvis* fan," Mulqueen entered the second-chance drawing a number of times. A regular Lottery player, she bought the winning ticket at Cumberland Farms #9912 in Stanton. She plans to take the trip she won with a friend later this year.

Mulqueen said she "definitely plans to keep playing Delaware Lottery Games."

Since the start of operations in 1975, the Delaware Lottery has contributed more than $1.1 billion to the state's General Fund to help finance needed state services that benefit everyone in Delaware. The Lottery offers a variety of games including POWERBALL®, LOTTO, Rolldown®, PLAY 3 and PLAY 4, and assorted Instant Games.
