Delaware Lottery fuels up for Summer Road Trip
Lottery to award prizes and spread the fun at select events all season

Dover, DE -- The Delaware Lottery kicked its tires and revved the motor today before rolling out for its Summer Road Trip '09 (www.delottery.com/roadtrip). The first two pit stops along the Lottery's summer-long journey of fun take place this week, as the Clifford Brown Jazz Festival bops into Wilmington's Rodney Square and June Jam rocks the G & R campground in Houston. The Lottery will attend both events on Saturday, June 20, and plans to cruise through 18 stops around the state between now and August 22, spreading smiles, free gifts and a chance to win prizes along the way.

"The Lottery has plotted a course that includes many great stops for its first-ever Summer Road Trip," said Wayne Lemons, Director, Delaware Lottery. "We are pleased to sponsor a wide variety of events around the state - most of which are free - and we hope Delaware residents and visitors will come out to enjoy the summer season with us. Between the Nanticoke Riverfest, Spark Summer Series, Wilmington Blue Rocks, Delaware State Fair, Newark Food & Brew Festival, Riverfront Blues Festival, and two remote radio broadcasts there is something for a variety of interests and tastes."

Seaford, Dewey Beach, Rehoboth Beach, Newark, Harrington and Lewes are also among the Road Trip's scheduled pit stops between today and August 22. Patrons who stop by the Delaware Lottery Pit Stop at select Summer Road Trip events will be chosen at random to win one of fifty Delaware Lottery Road Trip Prize Passes. Prize Pass winners receive a Prize Pack (value $50) and will be entered for a chance to win the Delaware Lottery Road Trip Grand Prize. The Road Trip Grand Prize drawing will be held August 9, 2009 at the Riverfront Blues Festival on the Wilmington Riverfront. The Grand Prize is a $1,000 Visa debit card. Love choices?
