COVID-19 Information

The Delaware Lottery's number one priority is to ensure the safety and health of our players, retail partners, and Lottery staff. We are continually monitoring the COVID-19 situation and using the latest information from the CDC and Delaware Department of Health & Services to make the best decisions we can. Hours and staffing are adjusting as we plan for the coming days, weeks, and months. We know our players are interested in knowing how their lottery play might be affected. Here is the latest.

To minimize risk and ensure social distancing, Lottery field marketing staff will not be visiting retailer locations until further notice, except on an as-needed basis. Field marketing staff will be contacting retailers by phone or email to make sure retailer needs are addressed. Retailers can continue to contact their representative via phone or email with any questions. At this time, retailers will continue to receive calls from our Tel Sel staff and ticket orders will be delivered the next business day. Please note: calls may come from an unfamiliar number. Tel Sel representatives will identify themselves and verify information with retailers on each call. However, if you miss the call you may contact the telemarketing representative directly at 1-888-909-4744; if your call is not answered, please leave a message and the Tel Sel representative will return your call as soon as possible. Cleaning and disinfecting lottery terminals:

isopropyl alcohol (70% solution) is effective and acceptable to use on all terminal touchscreens and cabinets. This is the only product that is approved for use on terminals.


Important considerations before cleaning / disinfecting equipment

  1. Power the terminal down.
  2. Always wear gloves when working with cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
  3. Select only non-abrasive cleaning cloths to avoid scratching touchscreens.
  4. Do not get liquids inside the unit. If liquids get inside the unit, have a qualified technician determine whether it is safe to power the unit back on.
  5. Avoid highly concentrated (70%+) alcohol, bleach or ammonia solutions, as these may cause discoloration.

If surfaces are dirty, they should be cleaned prior to disinfection.

If you have a winning lottery ticket, we strongly encourage you to mail your ticket to the Delaware State Lottery Office via certified mail to the address on the back of the ticket for redemption. Please sign and clearly print the requested information on the back of your ticket. If using the mail, please complete a Delaware Lottery Claim Form, and allow 1-2 weeks for processing. We recommend making a copy of the front and back of your ticket to keep for your records (or take a clear photo of the front and back, using a smartphone), and then use certified or registered mail to track the envelope. To receive winnings by mail, send original ticket(s) and claim form in an envelope addressed to the address on the back of your ticket.

Alternately, you may present your ticket to the State Lottery Office located at 1575 McKee Road, Suite 102, Dover, DE. Our current claiming hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday. If you have any questions, please call 302-739-5291.

The Division of Revenue is resuming lottery ticket cashing service at both the Wilmington and Georgetown locations on an appointment-only basis. The Dover DOR location will not be cashing lottery tickets at this time due to its closer proximity to the Lottery office in Dover.

Appointments will be available every half hour from 8:30 through 3:30. To schedule an appointment to cash a lottery tickets, winners should call The Division of Revenue directly. For the Wilmington office call (302) 577-8162. For Georgetown call (302) 856-5358.

The Delaware Lottery office is no longer accepting walk-in claims for winning Sports Lottery tickets. To claim a prize, please mail your ticket to the Delaware Lottery office.
