THREE $10,000 LUCKY DATE PRIZES CLAIMED BY DELAWARE LOTTERY PLAYERS

Two Delaware Lottery players claimed $10,000 Lucky Date prizes, won in the Friday, Oct. 15 drawing, this morning at the Delaware Lottery Office in Dover. Both players had dates that matched the date drawn-month, day and year-to win $10,000. The date drawn was Feb. 06, '62. The first winner to claim her prize was a 57-year-old woman from Wilmington, and the second was a 70-year-old man from Wilmington. Both players wished to remain anonymous and each received a check for $7,200, which represents each $10,000 prize minus $2,800 withheld for federal taxes.

One of the two winning tickets was purchased at Woody's Market on Kirkwood Street in Wilmington and the other one was purchased at Gilpin Liquors on Van Buren Street in Wilmington.

On Friday, October 15, a 77-year-old man from Downingtown, Pa., accompanied by his wife, claimed a $10,000 prize in the first Lucky Date drawing held on October 11. The man, who also wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning ticket at the 7-11 on DuPont Highway in New Castle.
