WILMINGTON WOMAN CLAIMS JULY 9 $666,000 ALL CASH LOTTO JACKPOT

DOVER, DE - A 45-year-old Wilmington woman claimed the July 9, 2001 All Cash Lotto jackpot prize of $666,000 this afternoon at the Delaware Lottery Office in Dover.  The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, was awarded $479,520, which represents her $666,000 prize minus $186,480 for federal tax.

She purchased the winning Quick Pick ticket the day of the drawing (July 9) at Quisquella Deli & Grocery on West 4th Street in Wilmington.  The winner said she realized that there was a jackpot winner for the July 9 All Cash Lotto drawing when she saw the winner awareness sign posted in the store.   Knowing she had purchased a ticket for that drawing, she went through her tickets to check the numbers.  She returned to the Retailer to check her winning ticket and to discover that she had won the $666,000 cash jackpot.

The winner told Lottery Officials that she plans to invest and travel with her prize money.  She also noted that she plays All Cash Lotto and POWERBALL® on a semi-regular basis and plans to continue playing the games.

The All Cash Lotto jackpot for tonight, July 18, 2001, is worth $183,000.  Tonight's drawing is held at 7:57 p.m. and may be watched on TV channels 12 and 64.
