DOVER MAN CLAIMS SECOND DODGE DAKOTA TRUCK GRAND PRIZE

DOVER, DE - This morning, a 69-year-old man from Dover and his wife visited the Delaware Lottery Office in Dover to claim a nicely-equipped 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab Sport 4X4 truck, a top prize in the Delaware Lottery DAKOTA QUAD CAB Instant Game.

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, was awarded a certificate to receive a Dakota Quad Cab Sport 4X4 prize package valued at more than $40,300 (MSRP of $29,025 plus estimated federal taxes). The man will redeem his certificate for the Dakota at an authorized Delaware Dodge dealer where he will select the interior and exterior colors of the vehicle.

The man purchased his winning DAKOTA QUAD CAB Instant Game ticket at Gulf Mart on Route 8 in Dover at 6:45 a.m. this morning. He told Lottery Officials, " My wife and I were just talking about buying a new truck. This saves us some money!" He added, "I bought a ticket hoping to win a truck and I did!"

When asked what color he was planning to select for their Dakota, He said, "I'd like red, but I'll be so excited that I will be happy with whatever color is available on the lot."

"We are excited to award a second Dakota truck to a winner in the DAKOTA QUAD CAB Instant Game," said Delaware Lottery Director Wayne Lemons, "and there is still another Dodge Dakota truck to be won.

"Players were also given a chance to win a Dodge Dakota in a second-chance drawing held earlier this month at the Delaware Lottery Office in Dover. On Oct. 5, 53-year-old Cathy Marcum of Newark, Del. claimed a vehicle from Newark Dodge that she won in the second-chance drawing for the Delaware Lottery's DAKOTA QUAD CAB Instant Game. To enter the second-chance drawing for a Dodge Dakota, players sent one non-winning DAKOTA QUAD CAB Instant Game ticket to the Delaware Lottery Office for receipt by Aug. 31, 2001 for the Oct. 4 drawing.

Average odds of winning a prize in this game are 1 in 3.70, based on the sale of all 480,000 tickets printed. The $2 tickets for DAKOTA QUAD CAB went on sale May 7 at all Delaware Lottery Retailers.
