DELAWARE LOTTERY SPICES IT UP WITH NEW TABASCO GAME

DOVER, DE -- Tickets for TABASCO Hot Cash®, the Delaware Lottery's newest $2 Instant Game, are now available at more than 450 Delaware Lottery Retailers. In addition to a top cash prize worth $2,000, TABASCO Hot Cash Instant Game players can win a TABASCO** merchandise prize package in a second-chance drawing, plus entry in a Grand Prize drawing for a TABASCO Backyard Barbecue Prize Package.

Brian Peters, Lottery Deputy Director of Marketing said, "We've had great success with licensed properties in the past and we believe our new TABASCO Hot Cash Instant Game will be no exception. TABASCO is a consumer icon with a very loyal following."

To highlight the game's launch, Delaware Lottery representatives will visit select retailers throughout the state today through March 19, handing out mini-bottles of TABASCO Hot Sauce and other fun prizes.

A second-chance drawing will be held August 12 to award 150 prize packages, valued at $499, featuring a TABASCO golf shirt combo, watch, blanket/throw, golf club covers, cap, T-shirt, and a gift box of TABASCO sauces. Second chance drawing winners will automatically be entered into a Grand Prize drawing, to be held this September, for one of two TABASCO Backyard Barbecue Prize Packages, valued at $2,500, featuring a stainless steel Premier propane gas barbecue grill, TABASCO-themed accessories including a patio umbrella, barbecue utensils, tumblers, apron and oven mitt, the TABASCO season ticket (4 gift boxes of TABASCO sauces and TABASCO flavored food products), and $500 in cash.

To enter the second chance drawing, players must complete the back of a non-winning TABASCO Hot Cash Instant Game ticket and send it to the Lottery Office in Dover for receipt by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 2004.

The new Instant Game features two top cash prizes worth $2,000 each, plus eight other cash prize levels from $2 to $160. Each $2 ticket offers players two chances to win. TABASCO Hot Cash offers 64,020 prizes with a total value of $366,890. Average odds of winning a prize are 1 in 3.76, based on selling all 240,000 $2 tickets printed for this game.
