            DOVER, DE -- The Powerball®

            Saturday, September. 25, 2004.

The final drawing for Delaware Lottery on-air contestants
and at-home players will be conducted May 27, 2004. The entry
deadline for the final drawing is Wednesday, May 26. The last
day of sales for the VEGAS NIGHTS Instant Game, the official
entry into the Powerball Instant Millionaire TV Game Show
drawings for Delaware Lottery players, is Monday, May 3.

The Powerball Instant Millionaire TV Game Show can be seen
Saturdays on WBOC TV-16 at 12 noon (Kent and Sussex counties),
UPN 21 at 5:00 p.m. (Kent and Sussex counties), and WPVI TV-6

Fourteen jurisdictions participate in the Powerball Instant
Millionaire TV Game Show. Delaware Lottery officials say ratings
for the Powerball Instant Millionaire TV Game Show have been
satisfactory in the Delaware market and the instant ticket
has been popular with players, but declining interest at the
national level led to the retirement of the show.

One on-air contestant and five at-home Delaware Lottery players
will be drawn for each of the remaining 12 shows. The Delaware
Lottery has sent 92 contestants to appear on the Powerball
Instant Millionaire TV Game Show in Las Vegas, Nevada since
joining the game show in October 2002. Those contestants received
            total combined prizes of $546,246.00.

Each week, the Lottery awards five at-home players prizes
between $100 and $10,000, depending upon the winnings of that
            week's Delaware Lottery on-air contestant. Five-hundred-six
at-home players have won a combined total of $63,000.00.

Since the start of operations in 1975, the Delaware Lottery
has contributed more than $1.7 billion to the state's General
Fund to help finance needed state services that benefit everyone
in Delaware. The Lottery offers a variety of games: POWERBALL®,
LOTTO, PLAY 3, PLAY 4, and assorted Instant Games. More information
