Dover, DE --Two Delaware residents have received grand prizes from the Delaware Lottery SUMMER FUN second-chance drawings as a part of summer live event promotions in Dewey Beach. The winners, Lillian Hart of Rehoboth Beach and Joe Lynch of Millsboro, were each awarded $1,000 in cash after their non-winning SUMMER FUN tickets were drawn as part of the Delaware Lottery's SUMMER FUN promotion held during the month of August.

The Delaware Lottery held weekly events during the month of August in Dewey Beach at the Starboard with WXJN-FM Cat Country and Taco Toss at The Lighthouse with WOSC-FM. These events included live radio broadcasts, Instant Game ticket giveaways and a chance to enter non-winning tickets in a drawing for two $1,000 grand prizes. Winners were announced during live on-air broadcasts earlier this week. Lottery talent, comedian Geno Bisconte entertained patrons with Lottery trivia and t-shirt giveaways. Participants at the events were also given the opportunity to have their picture taken while having fun with friends and received a souvenir photo and frame card.

"The summer promotions are another opportunity for Delaware Lottery players to try new games, have fun and get a second-chance at winning a $1,000 cash prize," said Brian Peters, deputy director of sales and marketing for the Delaware Lottery. "This is our fifth year hosting events at various venues statewide and they continue to be a popular draw for patrons."

The Delaware Lottery will hold events on Thursdays during the month of September at Klondike Kate's on Main Street in Newark with WRDX-FM. Additional information is available on the Delaware Lottery website,
