March 24, 2006Hockessin Man Wins $200,000 from the March 8 POWERBALL® Drawing Tickets -- Jackpot now up to $117 million
Dover, DE -- A Hockessin resident
recently claimed a $200,000 prize won during the March 8 POWERBALL
            drawing.

The man, a 38-year-old married father of one, said he is not
a regular player, but does play when the jackpots grow larger
or when the mood strikes him. That was the case when he decided
to buy five tickets while shopping at Sampson's Country Maid
            in Newark.

"My mother and sister love to play," he said. "They
play every week. I really only play every now and then."

Because of his family's lottery interest, the man knew he
had one a large prize when he realized he had matched five
of the non-Powerball numbers. He just didn't know how much.

"I saw the numbers in the newspaper and called my wife
immediately," he said. "All I knew was that I wouldn't
be able to collect this price at the grocery store."

The man received $150,000 after state taxes were deducted,
but he's not sure exactly what his family will do with the
money. He simply said he is fortunate not to have too much
outstanding debt and that the money will just go toward "future
            investments."

With no grand prizewinner, the total POWERBALL jackpot has
now reached $117 million. With such a large jackpot for POWERBALL,
Delaware Lottery Officials remind players to play responsibly.
