Delaware Lottery Announces Its First Ever Raffle Game.
Someone WILL win $250,000 on New Years Eve

Dover, DE -- This New Years Eve, one lucky Delaware Lottery player will make a resolution to wisely figure out how to spend $250,000 courtesy of the Delaware Raffle. The Delaware Raffle is more than the Lottery's latest game. The Delaware Raffle offers the best winning odds and ensures that one person WILL win $250,000.

Tickets go on sale October 30 and cost $10 each. With a limited number of tickets available, a quick sell-out is expected. Lottery players are urged to purchase their tickets early.

"Raffle games have only been implemented in a couple other states and each has been a tremendous success," said Wayne Lemons, Director of the Delaware Lottery. "Delaware will be no different."

In addition to the $250,000 grand prize winner, five $25,000 and 250 $500 prizes will also be awarded. This winning ratio of 1:391 is the best odds offered by the Delaware Lottery for prizes this size.

"We are excited to be offering our players this unique opportunity," Director Lemons added. "While most games offer a chance that there will be a winner in each drawing, the Delaware Raffle is designed to guarantee a single winning ticket will be drawn from all of the tickets that are sold. One lucky winner will take home a quarter of a million dollars. That's a great way to start the New Year!"

Winning numbers will be drawn New Year's Eve at the Delaware Lottery headquarters in Dover at TIME?, with the numbers being posted immediately on www.delottery.com.

The Lottery also offers a variety of other games: POWERBALL®, MULTI-WIN LOTTO, PLAY 3, PLAY 4, and assorted Instant Games.
