With no grand prizewinner from Wednesday night’sdrawing, thePOWERBALL jackpot soared from $360 million to a $550 million annuity jackpot with a cash prize option of $350.1 million. Delaware Lottery officials are hoping for a big win in Delaware but they ask players to keep responsible play in mind. The odds of winning a jackpot prize are 1-in-175 million.

“The Delaware Lottery asks that players please play responsibly by limiting the amount they spend to what is personally affordable,” said Lottery Director Vernon Kirk. “It only takes one ticket to win, as we’ve seen many times with the winners who come through our door.”

Both POWERBALL and MEGA MILLIONS® have seen huge jackpot swells within the last year, both reaching record-breaking jackpot status. Last November, POWERBALL reached $587.5 million making it the largest estimated annuity jackpot in the game’s history to date.  In March, MEGA MILLIONS reached a total of $656 million and was the largest jackpot in world history to date.
