Saturday's POWERBALL® Jackpot Drawing Climbs To $360 Million
The Delaware Lottery Encourages Players To Please Play Responsibly

(Dover, Del.)— Saturday night's POWERBALL® has reached an estimated annuity jackpot of $360 million-one of the largest POWERBALL jackpots in U.S. lottery history, according to Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) officials. With no winner from the drawing that took place Wednesday, February 4, 2015, the jackpot was raised from $317 million to the current $360 million. The winning numbers from Wednesday's non-winning jackpot drawing were 24, 36, 51, 52, 56, 22, and the POWERBALL number was 2. A $1 million winning ticket in last night's POWERBALL drawing was sold at the Sunoco A-Plus on Dupont Highway, New Castle, DE.

The current jackpot run has been climbing for 10 weeks, since it was last won in the state of Washington on November 29, 2014. If the $360 million jackpot is won this Saturday, the winner could opt for a cash option payout of $250.5 million.

The Delaware Lottery joins other lotteries across the country in support of responsible play by emphasizing that the odds of winning a POWERBALL jackpot prize are 1-in-175 million and that players should play within their means.

“It's human nature to be drawn in by the allure of a jackpot of this size, which is why we cannot emphasize enough for players to play within their means… that is, to spend only what they can afford without compromising necessities and comfort of themselves and their loved ones,” said Delaware Lottery Director Vernon Kirk. “Whenever people play - and especially when jackpots grow to record sizes - we always ask them to remember the most important goals of the lottery: to give people a means for fun, and to generate dollars for vital programs in our community.”

The largest POWERBALL jackpot ever recorded occurred in May of 2013 when a Florida woman won the $590.5 million jackpot prize.

POWERBALL tickets sell for $2 per game and with the Power Play® option POWERBALL costs $3 per game.
