A Very Lucky Week for One Millsboro Woman

Dover, DE — Stephanie Robinson enjoys playing Instant Games every week at Weis Market #273 in Millville. She normally purchases two $5 tickets every week, but when one of those ended up being a $250 winner, she decided to purchase two WILLY WONKA GOLDEN TICKET Instant Games. One of those ended up being one of the $40,000 top prize winners.

“I was in disbelief,” the 22-year-old Robinson said. “I went to my car to scratch it before leaving (Weis) and saw the winning number. I went back in to scan it right away because I couldn’t believe it.”

Regarding Ms. Robinson’s win, Vernon Kirk, Director of the Delaware Lottery, said, “It’s great to see this kind of excitement when Delaware Lottery players win a game’s top-prize. Congratulations to Ms. Robinson!”

Robinson, who has been playing the Lottery since she turned 18, said she plans to put her winnings toward a new apartment and car. When asked if she planned on continuing to play the Lottery, she replied, “Yes! I’ll stick with Instant Games.”

Ms. Robinson claimed her prize from Lottery Headquarters on November 20, 2018.

The licensing rights for the WILLY WONKA GOLDEN TICKET Instant Game were obtained from Scientific Games International, Inc.
