Man goes shopping for a big win

Dover, DE — A 35-year-old New Castle man went on a mission to find a big win. The man, who wished to remain anonymous visited several stores to purchase Bonus Payout Instant Game tickets. At his last stop, the Appleby Shell station in New Castle, he ended up purchasing the last $150,000 top-prize winning ticket.

“I knew there was still a $150,000 prize out there and I just wanted to find it,” the man said. “I couldn’t believe I actually did!” The man added that he has enjoyed playing $20 Instant Games for a few years.

“I cried when I scanned the ticket. It was the last one I purchased and when I scanned it, I was just so happy.” When asked what the man was planning to do with his winnings, he said he’s still too excited to think about that yet.

The man claimed his prize at Lottery Headquarters on October 2, 2019.
