Harrington man wins $15,000 playing RED, WHITE & BLUE 7

Dover, DE — John Bolin, a 56-year-old Harrington man, normally sticks to his routine when it comes to Delaware Lottery products, opting to purchase five $1 Instant Game tickets at a time. However, during a recent visit to Uncle Willie’s in Woodside, the colors of the $5 RED, WHITE & BLUE 7 Instant Game caught his eye, so he decided to purchase a single ticket instead. To his surprise, that ticket ended up winning him one of the game’s $15,000 top prizes.

“I was in a truck with my coworkers when I scratched the ticket,” said Mr. Bolin. “When I realized I had won, I quickly put the ticket in the glove box until I could call my wife. I wanted her to hear the good news first.”

“It’s always exciting to see a Delaware Lottery player win a top prize ” said Vernon Kirk, Director of the Delaware Lottery. “Congratulations to Mr. Bolin on his $15,000 win.”

When asked what he was planning to do with his winnings, Mr. Bolin said he intends to put the money into savings.

Mr. Bolin claimed his prize from Lottery Headquarters on September 28, 2020.
