Pennsylvania man wins $15,000 playing ULTIMATE 7’S

Dover, DE — Nathan Klingensmith, a 22-year-old Air Force bioenvironmental engineer from Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, recently purchased three Instant Game tickets while visiting Wawa #845 along Route 10 in Dover. One of those tickets was a $5 ULTIMATE 7’S ticket, which much to his surprise, ended up being a $15,000 winner.

While not originally from Delaware, Mr. Klingensmith said he has enjoyed playing Delaware Lottery Instant Games since arriving in Dover. He usually purchases three tickets at a time. “I don’t have a specific game plan when I’m picking my tickets,” said Mr. Klingensmith. “I just rely on luck.”

Mr. Klingensmith’s first reaction to his lucky $15,000 win was total shock. “I just didn’t expect it,” said Mr. Klingensmith. “When I realized I really had won $15,000, I threw myself a party!” After taking a moment to celebrate, he called his parents to share the exciting news.

“Congratulations to this lucky winner,” said Vernon Kirk, Director of the Delaware Lottery. “There are three more $15,000 top prizes available for the ULTIMATE 7’S Instant Game, and we’re excited to celebrate more big wins like this one.”

When asked what he intended to do with his winnings, Mr. Klingensmith said, “I’m only 22, so I want to invest and plan for my future. This really sets things up well for me.”

The man claimed his prize from Lottery Headquarters on May 24, 2021.
