A reminder to celebrate the holidays responsibly

Dover, DE — The Delaware Lottery would like to remind everyone that Delaware Lottery Instant Games, Draw Games and Sports Pick are not for children. All Delaware Lottery players must be 18 or older to purchase Instant and Draw Games, and 21 or older to purchase Sports Pick.

The Delaware Lottery has joined over 80 lotteries in North America in support of the 2021 Gift Responsibly Campaign to raise awareness for the risks associated with providing minors lottery products as gifts during the holiday season. In addition to being illegal, early gambling experiences for minors are a major factor in potential gambling problems later in life.

“Our retailers are committed to ensuring Delaware Lottery Games are not sold to minors in their stores,” said Vernon Kirk, Director of the Delaware Lottery. “We ask all of our customers to help support these efforts by never purchasing our games as gifts for children because protecting the youth of Delaware is a shared responsibility.”

If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, call the Delaware Gambling Council on Gambling Problems Helpline at 1-888-850-8888 or visit DEProblemGambling.com. Free professional advice and assistance is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
