Georgetown man wins $250,000 playing CASH XTREME

Dover, DE — A 47-year-old deer specialist from Georgetown has claimed the first $250,000 top prize from the Instant Game CASH XTREME. The man, who wished to remain anonymous, purchased the winning ticket from Bodie’s Market #3 on South Bedford Street in Georgetown.

The man said he started playing Delaware Lottery Instant Games about three years ago for some extra fun throughout the week. He usually purchases two tickets at a time whenever he visits certain stores in his local area.

While the man has won a variety of prizes playing Instant Games in the past, he said this six-figure win took him completely by surprise. “I yelled when I scratched the ticket,” said the man. “It was unbelievably exciting.”

“We love to see big fans of Instant Games bring home big top prizes,” said Vernon Kirk, Director of the Delaware Lottery. “One top prize of $250,000 remains for CASH XTREME. The $20 price-point Instant Games BONUS MONEY, FANTASTIC MONEY MANIA and CASH CRAZE also each have six-figure top prizes available, which means this winter still has plenty of Instant Game excitement in store!”

When asked what he was planning to do with his winnings, the man said he intends to buy a new car, then put the rest toward retirement.

The man claimed his prize from Lottery Headquarters on December 14, 2021.
