Lewes woman wins latest CASH XTREME $250,000 top prize

Dover, DE — A 60-year-old customer service associate from Lewes has claimed the second $250,000 top prize for the Instant Game CASH XTREME. The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, purchased the winning ticket from Wawa #849 on Wolfe Neck Road in Rehoboth.

The woman said she has been enjoying the excitement of Delaware Lottery Instant Games for about 30 years. She usually purchases between two and four tickets at a time, and said she loves playing for the chance to win big.

While the woman has won a few smaller prizes in the past, this six-figure win took some extra time to process. “When I first scratched the ticket, I thought I won $250,” the woman said. “When I looked a little closer and realized it said $250,000, I just couldn’t believe what I was seeing.”

“It’s always great to see a longtime Instant Game player win big,” said Vernon Kirk, Director of the Delaware Lottery. “One top prize of $250,000 remains for CASH XTREME. The $20 price-point Instant Games BONUS MONEY, CASH CRAZE and FANTASTIC MONEY MANIA also each have six-figure top prizes still available, which means there’s still plenty of chances for Instant Game players to win big.”

When asked what she was planning to do with her winnings, the woman said she’ll put the money toward a new car.

The woman claimed her prize from Lottery Headquarters on February 21, 2022.
