Newark man wins $150K playing $150,000 BLAST

Dover, DE — A 35-year-old mason from Newark, has claimed the first $150,000 top prize for the Instant Game $150,000 BLAST. The man purchased the winning ticket while visiting Books & News on Chestnut Hill Rd in Newark.

The man said he started playing the Delaware Lottery a few years ago. He likes the thrill of Instant Games and usually purchases four tickets at a time. “When I scratched the ticket and saw I won, I was in disbelief,” the man said. He called his girlfriend right away to share the news.

“It’s always great to see our players take home considerable cash prizes,” said Helene Keeley, Director of the Delaware Lottery. “Congratulations to this lucky player on his $150,000 win.”

When asked what he was planning to do with his winnings, the man said he plans to put the money in savings that will help him buy a new house in the future.

There is still one top prize remaining for $150,000 BLAST, along with $100,000 top prizes that still remain for the $20 price point Instant Games $100 GRAND BLOWOUT and WIN $100K. There are also two top prizes of $300,000 still up for grabs for the $30 Instant Game MORE SERIOUS MONEY. To find a Delaware Lottery retailer near you, please visit: Where To Buy | Delaware Lottery.
