Newark Man Wins $25,000 PLAY 5® Prize® prize
Dover, DE — A 59-year-old man from Newark is celebrating a $25,000 win from the July 28, 2025, PLAY 5® night drawing. He purchased the winning ticket at Books & News, located at 756 East Chestnut Hill Road in Newark.
A loyal player for more than a decade, the man said he was shocked to see he had matched five straight numbers.
“I was honestly surprised I won,” he said. “The first people I told were the store owner and my wife. Now, I’m planning a trip to Disney with my daughter—and I really believe I’ll win big again someday!”
The winning numbers from the July 28 PLAY 5® night drawing were 2, 0, 7, 8, and 5. He claimed his prize from Lottery Headquarters on July 29, 2025.
