Lewes Man Wins $37,500 KENO® Prize
Dover, DE — An 80-year-old man from Lewes is celebrating a $37,500 prize from the August 27, 2025, KENO® drawing. He purchased his winning ticket at Uncle Willie’s, located at 17581 Coastal Highway in Lewes.
The longtime player, who began playing the Delaware Lottery in 2003 for the fun of it, selected his own numbers for the drawing, using birthday numbers across three tickets. One of those tickets hit big, and the first person he shared the news with was the clerk who sold it to him.
The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, has won before, including prizes of $1,000 and $5,000. He claimed his prize the same day, on August 27, 2025, at Delaware Lottery Headquarters.
He shared that he plans to bank the money and use it to reduce his withdrawals from his IRA, calling the win a welcome boost.
KENO® drawings are held every four minutes from 6:04 AM to 1:04 AM, seven days a week.
