Newark Man Wins $150,000 Prize Playing SHOW ME $150,000

Dover, DE — A 63-year-old master mechanic from Newark is celebrating his first big win after claiming a $150,000 top prize from the Delaware Lottery’s SHOW ME $150,000 Instant Game. The lucky ticket was purchased at Wawa #866, located at 117 S. DuPont Highway in New Castle.

The longtime player, who chose to remain anonymous, said he plays “to get lucky” and was stunned when he realized he had hit the game’s top prize. His first reaction was an excited “Oh my God!” and the first person he shared the news with was his girlfriend.

He claimed his prize at Delaware Lottery Headquarters on September 11, 2025, and shared that he plans to use the winnings to pay off his house and retire.

“Meeting longtime players who get to claim substantial prizes like this one is always a highlight for us. Everybody in the office really enjoyed getting to meet him and learn about his exciting upcoming plans. We wish him nothing but the best of luck and success moving forward,” said Helene Keeley, Director of the Delaware Lottery.

The SHOW ME $150,000 Instant Game still has prizes waiting to be won, including one top prize of $150,000, one $5,000, eight $1,000 and thousands of other cash prizes starting at $20 up to $500. Tickets are available for $20 at Lottery retailers statewide.
