Felton Woman Wins $50,000 Top Prize Playing Delaware Lottery $50,000 Crossword Instant Game

Dover, DE — A woman from Felton is celebrating after winning the $50,000 top prize playing the Delaware Lottery’s $50,000 Crossword Instant Game. She purchased her winning ticket at Sweet Mart, located at 13 Causey Avenue in Milford, and claimed her prize at Lottery Headquarters on October 27, 2025.

The Delaware native, who works at EUS Tech, matched all nine words on her crossword ticket to secure the top prize. A regular player who usually buys one ticket at a time, she said she plays “to win.”

Though she has had smaller wins in the past, this was her largest by far. When she scanned the ticket at the machine and saw the winning message, her first reaction was simply, “Wow!” She immediately told her mother and plans to use the prize money to pay off her credit card and car.

“The surprise and delight on this winner’s face said it all. She was beyond ecstatic and so thankful to have a prize like this to pay off her bills. We’re thrilled for her and wish her nothing but the best for the future,” said Helene Keeley, Director of the Delaware Lottery.

The $50,000 Crossword Instant Game costs $10 and offers players the chance to win up to $50,000 instantly. Fans of extended play-style games can also try $5 Lucky 7s and $5 Bullseye Bingo, both offering exciting opportunities to play and win at Delaware Lottery retailers.
