Dover Woman in Shock After Winning $1 Million Powerball® Prize
Dover, DE — A 51-year-old woman from Dover is celebrating after winning $1,000,000 from the October 22, 2025 Powerball® drawing. The winning ticket was purchased at Harrington Raceway and Casino, located at 15 W. Rider Road in Harrington.
The lucky winner’s ticket matched all five white balls to win the $1 million second-tier prize with the winning numbers of 18, 37, 52, 54, 60, and 12 for the Powerball.
The Dover woman, who works in promotions supervision, started playing just six weeks ago “for fun.” She usually buys three tickets at a time and used the quick pick option for this drawing. It was her first Lottery win, and one she’ll never forget.
After scanning her ticket, she was in complete shock. The first person she told about her life-changing win was her father. Still filled with excitement, she said she hasn’t yet decided what she plans to do with her winnings.
“A $1 million Powerball® win is something truly special,” said Helene Keeley, Director of the Delaware Lottery. “We’re so happy for our winner and love sharing in the excitement of moments like this. We encourage all our players to keep the fun in playing by doing so responsibly.”
The winner claimed her prize at Delaware Lottery Headquarters on October 30, 2025.
Powerball® drawings are held three times a week, every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 PM ET, with tickets available at Lottery retailers statewide until 9:45 PM ET on draw nights.
