Lucky for Life® Drawings to Conclude After February 21

Dover, DE — The Delaware Lottery announced today that the final drawing for Lucky for Life® will take place on Saturday, February 21, 2026, marking the conclusion of the game’s run in the first state.

As Lucky for Life® comes to an end, a new multi-state game, Millionaire for Life, will launch nationally. However, the Delaware Lottery will not participate in the new game due to its $5 ticket price, compared to the $2 ticket price offered by Lucky for Life®. The decision was made after considering player feedback, which indicated limited interest in the new game at the higher price point.

“We value the voices of our players, and their feedback plays an important role in the decisions we make,” said Helene Keeley, Director of the Delaware Lottery. “Lucky for Life has been a popular and affordable game for Delaware players, and when we heard concerns about the increased cost of its replacement, we took those concerns seriously. Our goal is always to offer games that are fun, accessible, and align with what our players want.”

In preparation for the game’s retirement, the Delaware Lottery will begin a step-down process for Advanced Play on February 7, 2026. During this period, the number of advance draws available for purchase will decrease by one each day until the final Lucky for Life® drawing is held on February 21.

Lucky for Life® has provided players the chance to win a top prize of $1,000 a day for life, with drawings held daily. The game has produced 37 top-prize jackpot winners nationwide, with thousands more paid out in second-tier prizes. Delaware has never had a top prize winner, but the game has been a staple offering for Delaware Lottery players since its launch a decade ago.

While Delaware will not participate in Millionaire for Life, players will continue to have access to a wide variety of Lottery games at multiple price points. The Delaware Lottery remains committed to offering engaging entertainment options while promoting responsible play.

Additional information about available games can be found at delottery.com or at licensed Delaware Lottery retailers statewide.
