Wilmington Man Scores $390,000 in Lucky for Life®’s Final Weeks
Dover, DE — A 74-year-old man from Wilmington is celebrating a major Delaware Lottery win after claiming a $390,000 prize from the popular Lucky for Life® draw game. The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, purchased his winning ticket at Brandywine Village Liquors, located at 2110 N. Market Street in Wilmington, Delaware, and claimed his prize at Delaware Lottery headquarters on January 27, 2026.
The winning numbers for the January 24, 2026 Lucky for Life® drawing were 8, 17, 25, 40, and 44. Although he declined to share many personal details, the winner said he was still in disbelief after realizing he had won such a substantial amount. He shared that the prize will allow him to pay off his home and provide financial support to his grandchildren.
“This win is a great example of what has made Lucky for Life® such a meaningful game for players over the years,” said Helene Keeley, Director of the Delaware Lottery. “It’s rewarding to see a longtime favorite deliver such an impactful prize as it nears the end of its run, and we’re excited to celebrate this player and his generous commitment to share the joy with his family.”
Lucky for Life® offers players the chance to win a top prize of $1,000 a day for life, with drawings held daily. The game has been a staple for Delaware Lottery players since launching in the state in 2015 and is scheduled to conclude following its final drawing on February 21, 2026. Players will continue to have access to a wide variety of Lottery games at multiple price points at participating Delaware Lottery retailers statewide.
