Wilmington Man Wins $25,000 Playing PLAY 5®
Dover, DE — Isaiah Watters of Wilmington is celebrating a $25,000 win after matching all five numbers in the Delaware Lottery’s PLAY 5® Night Draw.
The winning numbers for the October 23, 2025 drawing were 6 2 1 9 and 1. Watters purchased his winning ticket at State-Line Cigarette Outlet, located at 2070-72 New Castle Avenue in New Castle, and claimed his prize at Delaware Lottery headquarters on February 24, 2026.
A Delaware native who works as a machine operator, Watters began playing the Delaware Lottery just one year ago. He typically purchases one ticket at a time, saying he plays to win.
This prize marks his first lottery win. When asked about his reaction, Watters simply said, “Thank you!” He has not yet decided how he plans to spend his winnings.
“We’re excited for Isaiah and thrilled to celebrate his first Lottery win,” said Helene Keeley, Director of the Delaware Lottery. “Moments like this are always special, and we congratulate him on his $25,000 prize. We also remind all players to enjoy Lottery games responsibly.”
PLAY 5® is a daily draw game offering players the chance to win up to $50,000 twice a day, with drawings held at 1:58 PM and 7:57 PM. Players can find PLAY 5® and other exciting draw games at Delaware Lottery retailers statewide.
