Wilmington Man Wins $10,000 Playing $1 Million Vault Instant Game

Dover, DE — David Booth, 35, of Wilmington, is celebrating a $10,000 win after playing the Delaware Lottery's $1 Million Vault Instant Game. Booth purchased his winning ticket at 896 Liquors, located at 1017 S. College Avenue in Newark, and claimed his prize at Delaware Lottery headquarters on April 22, 2026.

A Delaware native who works as an industrial electrician, Booth said he began playing the Delaware Lottery a few years ago for the chance to win. While he has won smaller prizes in the past, this marks his largest win to date.

He discovered his win after scratching the ticket and said he was excited when he realized he had won. He plans to use the money to repair his car and pay off bills>.

"We're pleased to celebrate this win with David and congratulate him on his $10,000 prize," said Helene Keeley, Director of the Delaware Lottery. "Moments like this are always exciting for our players, and we remind everyone to enjoy lottery games responsibly."

$1 Million Vault costs $50 and offers players the chance to win prizes ranging from $75 up to $1,000,000. Tickets are available at participating Delaware Lottery retailers statewide.
