(DOVER, Del.) — A Clayton man, who ended 2018 with a $2,900 win playing Instant Games, starts 2019 off with an even bigger win. The man, who wished to remain anonymous, purchased ten $250 GRAND Instant Game tickets from Shore Stop #269 on Glenwood Ave. in Smyrna, and one of them was a $10,000 winning ticket.
“I had to run out to my truck to get my glasses,” the man said about learning he had won. “I was in disbelief.”
The man, who also enjoys playing POWERBALL® and MEGA MILLIONS® when the jackpots get higher, said he has won prizes in the past, but this is his biggest win yet.
When asked what he was planning on doing with his winnings, the man said he wants to surprise his niece with tickets to a concert she wanted to see in Atlantic City for her and a friend, get his ex-wife’s car serviced, and take a trip with his mom and sister.
The man claimed his prize from Lottery Headquarters on January 14, 2019.
