(DOVER, Del.) — A 59-year-old New Castle woman received quite the surprise when she finally checked her MEGA MILLIONS® ticket from the October 26, 2018 drawing. The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, had matched four numbers and the MEGA BALL, winning $10,000 before taxes.

“I keep my (old) tickets until I go to the liquor store (New Castle Spirits in New Castle), and then I scan them all,” the woman said.

Dover man wins big playing 10 GRAND CROSSWORD

(DOVER, Del.) — A 59-year-old Dover man has enjoyed playing 10 GRAND CROSSWORD since it was released. The man, who wished to remain anonymous, said he plays the Instant Game every week at Shore Stop #231 in Rising Sun. This week, he ended up purchasing a $10,000 winning ticket.

“At first I thought I had won $250,” the man said. “When I handed it to the cashier at the Shore Stop, they told me it was actually a $10,000 winner. I was shocked!”

The man said he enjoys playing at the Shore Stop because he “…really likes everyone that works there. They’re always friendly.”

Frankford man claims $50,000 POWERBALL® winner

(DOVER, Del.) — A 55-year-old retail manager from Frankford matched four white balls and the POWERBALL® in the February 16th POWERBALL® drawing winning $50,000 before taxes. The man, who wished to remain anonymous, purchased the winning ticket from the Laurel Oasis in Laurel.

The man said he has been playing the Delaware Lottery Draw Games for about eight years and always purchases five tickets when he plays. His winning POWERBALL® ticket was a Quick Pick, although he often likes to choose his own numbers using birthday and anniversary dates.

The man, who took home $38,000 after taxes said he was “completely shocked” when he scanned his ticket to check it. “I wasn’t sure I was reading the screen correctly,” he said.

When asked what he was planning to do with his winnings, the man said he wants to invest it for his retirement.

$1,000,000 POWERBALL® ticket claimed by Selbyville man

(DOVER, Del.) — A 79-year-old Selbyville man matched five white balls for the March 2nd POWERBALL® drawing, winning $1,000,000 before taxes. The man, who wished to remain anonymous, purchased two Quick Pick POWERBALL® tickets for the drawing from the Fenwick Island Goose Creek.

“I won $500 before, but obviously nothing this big,” the man said. I checked my numbers on the website (delottery.com) the morning after the drawing. I couldn’t believe it.”

(DOVER, Del.) — A 48-year-old Townsend man who has enjoyed playing Instant Games and Draw Games for 10 years got a big win after purchasing one $250 GRAND Instant Game ticket from the Chelsea BP in New Castle.

Wilmington man gets a big POWERBALL® win

(DOVER, Del.) — A 65-year-old retired Wilmington man matched four white balls and the Powerball in the March 13th POWERBALL® drawing – winning $50,000 before taxes. The man, who wished to remain anonymous, said he has been purchasing the Quick Pick option for POWERBALL® and MEGA MILLIONS® tickets every week since 2002.

The winning ticket was purchased at Acme #813 in Wilmington.

“I went in on Friday (3/15) to get tickets (for the March 16 drawing) and that’s when I found out I had won,” the man said. “I check my tickets and the machine said to come down to Dover.”

Smyrna man gets $20,000 big win

(DOVER, Del.) — A 77-year-old retired man from Smyrna who was visiting Dover Downs decided to purchase three Instant Game tickets. The man, who wished to remain anonymous, said, “I saw someone else buying Instant Game tickets, so I said, Why not?”

One of the tickets the man purchased was 20X the bucks, and that ticket ended up being a $20,000 winner.

Three is a magic number for one Milton man

(DOVER, Del.) — A 65-year-old Milton man has been playing Instant Games and Draw Games since he retired in 2005. The man, who wished to remain anonymous, said he enjoys using the Delaware Lottery self-service machines, and he always picks three Instant Games to play when he uses them.

So when the man visited Wawa #865 in Long Neck, he decided to purchase three Instant Game tickets before he left. One of those tickets was a $10,000 winning Money to Burn ticket.

Dover couple splits $50,000 big win

(DOVER, Del.) — A Dover couple that has been married for 57 years just celebrated a big win together. The couple, who wished to remain anonymous, purchased three Instant tickets from the Sunoco A-Plus on South College Avenue in Newark. One of those tickets was the Money Plu$ top prize $50,000 winner.

“I was very excited and grateful to win,” the man said when he realized he had won. First Time's A Charm For Wilmington Woman

(DOVER, Del.) — A 50-year-old Wilmington woman used Quick Pick to purchase one POWERBALL® ticket for the February 23rd drawing – it was her first time playing the Lottery. New Bear Resident Wins Big Playing MULTI-WIN LOTTO

(DOVER, Del.) — A 70-year-old retired man, who recently moved to Bear, started playing MULTI-WIN LOTTO every Friday at Acme #817 in the Fox Run Shopping Center shortly after moving to Bear. This past Friday, the man matched all six numbers and won $69,032 before taxes.

Lewes Man Starts February with a $40,000 Win

(DOVER, Del.) — A 62-year-old Lewes man has claimed the last WILLY WONKA GOLDEN TICKET Instant Game top prize of $40,000. The man, who wished to remain anonymous, purchased the winning Instant Game ticket at the Stop & Shop on Coastal Highway in Dewey Beach.
