The man, who wished to remain anonyomous, purchased the winning ticket from 7-Eleven #33102 on Delaware Avenue in Newark. Realizing that the Instant Game had lived up to its name, he was filled with excitement when he realized he won $100,000 in an instant.

Milford woman claims October’s third $1,000 Collect ‘N Win prize

(DOVER, Del.) — Priti Shah, a 55-year-old Milford resident has claimed the final $1,000 top prize in October’s Collect ‘N Win drawing.

Mrs. Shah, who began playing the Delaware Lottery in 2003, entered a total of 660 non-winning tickets for the drawing including PLAY 3®, PLAY 4® and KENO®.

October’s Second Collect ’N Win $750 Winner

(DOVER, Del.) — Michael Conry, a 66-year-old man from Lewes, has claimed the second $750 prize from the Collect ‘N Win October drawing.

Georgetown man wins $10,000 playing SIX FIGURES

(DOVER, Del.) — A 56-year-old business man from Georgetown purchased seven Instant Game tickets during a recent visit to Liquor Land in Seaford, including one SIX FIGURES ticket. He usually buys six tickets at a time, but his extra purchase during this particular visit paid off. His SIX FIGURES ticket ended up winning him one of the game’s $10,000 prizes.

The man, who wished to remain anonymous, said he has been playing the Delaware Lottery since 2016 to have some fun whenever the mood strikes him. He was so excited after scratching the ticket and realizing he won that he threw his hands in the air to celebrate. The man’s spouse was the first person to hear the good news.

Seaford woman wins $50,000 playing TOP DOLLAR

(DOVER, Del.) — Heidi Cannon, a 61-year-old hospice nurse from Seaford, enjoys playing the Delaware Lottery while visiting local stores in her neighborhood. Her typical weekly purchase includes two MEGA MILLIONS® tickets and one Instant Game ticket. However, a recent visit to Royal Farms #38 in Seaford ended with her Instant Game ticket choice winning her one of the TOP DOLLAR top prizes of $50,000.

Mrs. Cannon said that her first reaction after scratching the ticket and realizing she won was, “What!?”. However, during a recent visit to Uncle Willie’s in Woodside, the colors of the $5 RED, WHITE & BLUE 7 Instant Game caught his eye, so he decided to purchase a single ticket instead. “I was in a truck with my coworkers when I scratched the ticket,” said Mr. Bolin. “When I realized I had won, I quickly put the ticket in the glove box until I could call my wife. I wanted her to hear the good news first.”

(DOVER, Del.) — A 48-year-old Millsboro woman has won a $1,000,000 prize, before taxes, by matching the 5 white balls in the May 16th POWERBALL® drawing. The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, purchased the winning Quick Pick ticket at Royal Farms #123 – Oak Orchard in Millsboro.

This exciting win is the first million-dollar POWERBALL® claim in the state for 2020, with Delaware having paid out just shy of $2 million in POWERBALL® winnings so far this year.

Wilmington woman’s quick trip to store for neighbor leads to big win

(DOVER, Del.) — A 52 year old woman from Wilmington purchased two Money Frenzy Instant Game tickets spur-of-the-moment on a trip to Windsor Market in Wilmington. The woman said, “One of my neighbors who lives in my building and is a friend asked me to go to the store for them. While I was there, I figured I’d get a ticket or two for myself.” One of those tickets ended up winning her one of the game’s $250,000 top prizes.

The woman, who started playing Delaware Lottery about two years ago, said this is her first big win. “It was a total shock because I wasn’t supposed to go to the store that day,” she said. Her daughter was the first to hear her good news.

When asked what she was planning to do with the money, the woman said she plans on putting it towards a handicap accessible van and moving to a new home.

Selbyville man wins big to the tune of $10,000

(DOVER, Del.) — Raymond Perrone, a 59-year-old barber and musician from Selbyville, purchased a variety of Instant Game tickets while recently visiting Royal Farms #263 in Selbyville. Having some extra cash on hand, he decided to treat himself to a higher price-point game – a $25 Money Frenzy Instant Game ticket that ended up being a $10,000 winner.

Mr. Perrone, who started playing the Lottery 20 years ago, said he had previously won a $5,000 prize playing Instant Games before, but this was his biggest win yet.

“I just scratched the ticket off and knew I had a winner” said Perrone. “At first, I thought I had won $5,000, but then I saw the double symbol and called my wife. She started yelling, ‘It’s $10,000!’”

PA man buys winning POWERBALL® ticket in Delaware

(DOVER, Del.) — A 56-year-old man from Media, Pennsylvania purchased a three play ticket for eight consecutive draws of POWERBALL® drawings while visiting Delaware News Center in Wilmington. On the March 25th drawing, the man ended up matching four numbers and the POWERBALL®, winning $50,007 before taxes.

The man, who wished to remain anonymous, said he always plays two lines using family members’ birthdays, and uses Quick Pick for the third. “I scanned my ticket and couldn’t believe what I saw,” the man said about learning he had won. “It was an incredible feeling.”

After taxes, the man will take home $38,005.

When asked what he was planning to do with his winnings, the man said he wants to add it to his savings.

CUBE CROSSWORD HD spells a $10,000 win

(DOVER, Del.) — Shawn Carr, a 43-year-old Milton man, purchased a variety of Instant Games while visiting O’Neill’s Liquors in Milford. One of those tickets was CUBE CROSSWORD HD—and that ticket ended up winning him $10,000.

Mr. Carr, who has been playing the Lottery since he was 18, said he has won a few smaller prizes in the past, including a $1,000 prize, but this was by far his biggest win yet.

“I was at my friend’s house when I scratched the ticket,” said Carr. “I started jumping and screaming when I saw I had won. My friend thought I was joking at first, but when she looked at the ticket, she was as excited as me.”

Newark man played $50,000 winning POWERBALL® number twice

(DOVER, Del.) — A 61-year-old Newark man asked his son to fill out a few POWERBALL® playslips for the January 18th POWERBALL® drawing. The man, who wished to remain anonymous, went to Malin’s Market in Newark to play the numbers on the playslips but when he arrived, he realized he only brought enough money for three lines plays. The man purchased one ticket with three plays and returned the next day and unknowingly purchased an identical ticket by accidentally using the previous day’s playslip.

Incredibly, each ticket resulted in a $50,000 win by matching four numbers and the POWERBALL® for a combined win of $100,000 before taxes.

“When I returned to the store (Malin’s Market) after the drawing, I couldn’t believe I had won when I scanned the first ticket,” the man said. “A few hours later, when I scanned the second ticket and saw it had also won, I was shaking.
