(DOVER, Del.) — Mamie Glanden, a 66-year-old woman from Felton, has claimed the second $1,000 Collect ‘N Win prize from the January 5, 2021 drawing.

Ms. Glanden, who has been playing the Delaware Lottery for about one year, entered 72 non-winning PLAY 3® and PLAY 4® tickets through the Collect ‘N Win mobile app in December for the January drawing. She was excited to find a message on her phone, informing her that she had won one of the three top prizes slated for this month. This is Ms. Glanden’s biggest win yet.

January Collect ’N Win $1,000 Winner

(DOVER, Del.) — Nadisha McNeill, a 41-year-old assistant store manager from Laurel, has claimed the first $1,000 prize from the Collect ‘N Win drawing held on January 5, 2021.

Ms. McNeill, who originally hails from New York, has been playing the Delaware Lottery since 2014. She entered a total of 300 non-winning MEGA MILLIONS®, POWERBALL®, PLAY 3® and PLAY 4® tickets through the Collect ‘N Win mobile app in December for the January second chance drawing.

This is Ms. McNeill’s first win of this size. When asked if she intends to keep playing the Delaware Lottery and entering tickets into Collect ‘N Win drawings, Ms. McNeill said, “Yes!”.

Florida man wins $10,000 playing SIX FIGURES

(DOVER, Del.) —Lawrence Joiner, a 45-year-old man from Bell, Florida, purchased a SIX FIGURES Instant Game ticket from Liquor Land in Seaford during a recent visit to Delaware. After scratching the ticket, Mr. Joiner couldn’t believe his luck when it ended up winning him $10,000 in an instant.

Even though 2021 has only just begun, this is the third $10,000 prize from the Instant Game SIX FIGURES to be claimed so far this January. The $25 price point Instant Game still also has two top prizes of $250,000 available, which means there’s more excitement yet to come!

Clayton woman starts the year with a $50,000 POWERBALL® win

(DOVER, Del.) —A 55-year-old woman from Clayton matched four white balls and the POWERBALL® in the January 6 POWERBALL® drawing, winning $50,000 before taxes. The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, purchased the winning ticket from Clayton Liquor in Clayton.

The woman said she has been playing the Delaware Lottery for 15 years, and usually purchases five POWERBALL® tickets at a time. She was completely shocked to see her winning numbers announced on TV. This is her first big win.

When asked why she plays the Delaware Lottery, the woman said it’s her way of having some extra fun throughout the week.

The winning numbers from the January 6 drawing were 01, 20, 22, 60 and 66. The POWERBALL® number was 03, and the Power Play number was 3x.

Lewes man wins $10,000 playing MERRY MONEY

(DOVER, Del.) — A 77-year-old retiree from Lewes has claimed a $10,000 top prize from the Instant Game MERRY MONEY. The man, who wished to remain anonymous, purchased the winning ticket from Daily Market on E. Savannah Road in Lewes.

The man, who purchased the $10 MERRY MONEY ticket with hopes of a big win, said he started playing the Delaware Lottery years ago. He doesn’t have a set routine for purchasing Delaware Lottery Instant Game tickets, but bought several during this particular visit to his local store because he was feeling lucky.

His first reaction after realizing he had won big was, “Yee ha!” He called his spouse immeditately to share the exciting news. When asked what he was planning to do with his winnings, the man said he wants to invest it.

Maryland man wins $10,000 playing SIX FIGURES

(DOVER, Del.) — George Annis, a 60-year-old man from Chesapeake Beach, MD purchased a single SIX FIGURES Instant Game ticket during a recent visit to Food Lion #1206 in Selbyville. Much to his surprise, that ticket ended up winning him $10,000 in an instant.

Mr. Annis said he has been playing the Lottery since 1980 with hopes to win big. “I like to buy Instant Game tickets whenever I’m in Delaware,” said Mr. Annis. “I guess this visit was extra lucky!”

“I was so excited after I scratched the ticket and saw that I won,” said Mr. Annis. He called his daughter right away to tell her the good news.

Laurel man gets a big win for the holidays

(DOVER, Del.) — An 88-year-old Laurel man won $10,000 after matching four numbers and the Mega Ball in the December 25th MEGA MILLIONS® drawing. The man, who wished to remain anonymous, purchased the winning ticket using the Quick Pick option from Royal Farms #171 in Laurel.

“I couldn’t have been more excited when I scanned my ticket,” the man said. “I couldn’t stop smiling.”

When asked what he was planning to do with his winnings, the man said he wanted to pay off some bills and put the rest in the bank.
