Bear woman wins $10,000 playing DREAMIN’ XXL

(DOVER, Del.) — A 29-year-old baker from Bear, who wished to remain anonymous, decided to purchase four Instant Game tickets from her local Acme #817 on Fox Hunt Drive in Bear. One of the tickets she purchased was for the Instant Game DREAMIN’ XXL, and it ended up winning her one of the game’s fifteen $10,000 prizes.

Although not originally from Delaware, the woman has been playing the Delaware Lottery for the past ten years. She says she plays Instant Games because she enjoys the thrill of testing her luck. The woman said she likes to follows her intuition when selecting her Instant Game tickets.

“I was super shocked when I realized I had won,” the woman said. “I’ve won $100 playing Instant Games before, but this is the largest prize I’ve taken home so far.” The woman shared the excitement of her big win with her best friend, who was in her car when she scratched the winning DREAMIN’ XXL ticket.

When asked what she was planning to do with her winnings, the woman said she intends on putting most of it into savings for now but said it will help with a down payment on a house and travel in the future.

This is the third $10,000 prize from the Instant Game DREAMIN’ XXL to be claimed so far this March. DREAMIN’ XXL has twelve $10,000 prizes remaining as well as three $250,000 top prizes remaining, which means there’s plenty of excitement in store for Delaware Lottery players.

Middletown woman wins $50,000 playing POWERBALL®

(DOVER, Del.) — A 42-year-old Middletown woman recently purchased five tickets for the March 20th POWERBALL® drawing using Quick Pick while visiting Consolidated Gasoline of DE in Newark. One of those tickets ended up matching four numbers and the POWERBALL®. The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, was shocked to discover she had won $50,000 before taxes.

The woman said she started playing the Delaware Lottery a few years ago, “just for the fun of it and to try my luck.” She doesn’t have a particular strategy for buying POWERBALL® tickets, but usually purchases five at a time.

“My husband checked the winning numbers on the machine in the store and thought I might have won,” said the woman. “I followed up by going online to see the winning numbers to verify. I was so surprised when I realized it was true!” This is her first win of this size.

When asked what she was planning to do with her winnings, the woman said she would like to invest some of the money and use the rest to start a business.

The winning numbers from the March 20, 2021 drawing were 01, 06, 22, 42 and 61. The POWERBALL® number was 04, and the Power Play® number was 3x.

Lewes man wins $10,000 playing MERRY MONEY

(DOVER, Del.) — A 77-year-old retiree from Lewes has claimed a $10,000 top prize from the Instant Game MERRY MONEY. The man, who wished to remain anonymous, purchased the winning ticket from Daily Market on E. Savannah Road in Lewes.

The man, who purchased the $10 MERRY MONEY ticket with hopes of a big win, said he started playing the Delaware Lottery years ago. He doesn’t have a set routine for purchasing Delaware Lottery Instant Game tickets, but bought several during this particular visit to his local store because he was feeling lucky.

His first reaction after realizing he had won big was, “Yee ha!” He called his spouse immeditately to share the exciting news. When asked what he was planning to do with his winnings, the man said he wants to invest it.

Maryland man wins $10,000 playing SIX FIGURES

(DOVER, Del.) — George Annis, a 60-year-old man from Chesapeake Beach, MD purchased a single SIX FIGURES Instant Game ticket during a recent visit to Food Lion #1206 in Selbyville. Much to his surprise, that ticket ended up winning him $10,000 in an instant.

Mr. Annis said he has been playing the Lottery since 1980 with hopes to win big. “I like to buy Instant Game tickets whenever I’m in Delaware,” said Mr. Annis. “I guess this visit was extra lucky!”

“I was so excited after I scratched the ticket and saw that I won,” said Mr. Annis. He called his daughter right away to tell her the good news.

Laurel man gets a big win for the holidays

(DOVER, Del.) — An 88-year-old Laurel man won $10,000 after matching four numbers and the Mega Ball in the December 25th MEGA MILLIONS® drawing. The man, who wished to remain anonymous, purchased the winning ticket using the Quick Pick option from Royal Farms #171 in Laurel.

“I couldn’t have been more excited when I scanned my ticket,” the man said. “I couldn’t stop smiling.”

When asked what he was planning to do with his winnings, the man said he wanted to pay off some bills and put the rest in the bank.
